It’s important to note that these are just my experiences with the Bleemcast beta. You may or may not have similar experiences with the same games. Some games that are reported to work on other Bleemcast compatibility lists just didn’t work for me, and vice versa. It’s a beta…this kind of stuff is expected...
All screenshots were taken from my, very old, video capture card. It tends to make things darker than they normally are, it also only displays 16-bit color. For most things, it's good enough, but can make dithering show up on things in the game that have no dithering on the TV.
Vs - The 3D models are flawless, it doesn’t even freak out on the 2D backgrounds…sadly, though, it runs at about a fourth of its regular speed. Turning off the music, popping the lid do nothing to help it….
WipeOut - Sadly, can’t get past the initial “Psygnosis” FMV intro, just skips and eventually freezes Bleem. Man, that really sucks, I bet it would have looked amazing, and as it was a racer, there’s a high chance it would have been near perfect.
WipeOut 3 - Freezes after you get past the FMV intros.
The following games would not boot, at all:
Dead or Alive, Final Fantasy 8, Destruction Derby, Gex: Enter the Gecko, Medal of Honor/Underground, The World is Not Enough
Though I'm sure it's nothing official, and I'm not even sure who to credit it with, but there's a list floating around out there that has some information on game compatibility with Bleemcast. Click here to take a look...
