It’s important to note that these are just my experiences with the Bleemcast beta. You may or may not have similar experiences with the same games. Some games that are reported to work on other Bleemcast compatibility lists just didn’t work for me, and vice versa. It’s a beta…this kind of stuff is expected...
All screenshots were taken from my, very old, video capture card. It tends to make things darker than they normally are, it also only displays 16-bit color. For most things, it's good enough, but can make dithering show up on things in the game that have no dithering on the TV.
Soul Reaver - Seems to be near perfect and looks almost as good as the DC version.
(note: This is the demo that is on the disc in certain versions of Akuji the Heartless)
Spice World - Graphics are glitch free, and look great. The minute you step into the “Mixing Room”, though, and start to record a song, Bleem freaks out and skips the music…never recovers from it. That's as far as you can go...
Strider 2 - Like MKT and every other game that features sprites, the Strider and enemy sprites animate and move entirely too fast, *and* have massive glitches running all over them. The backgrounds, 3D, look great though. If you can put up with the sprites, the game itself is really short, and playing it via Bleemcast isn’t bad at all.
Strider - Can’t get past the “Now Loading” Strider splash screen. No big deal, as the game is entirely in 2D, I’m sure it would have been a disaster running via Bleemcast.
Street Fighter EX + Alpha - Runs slow as all hell! Popping the lid will bring it back up to speed, but you have to close it every time after you win the second match. On top of that, as the music can’t be turned off, popping the lid leaves it looping small bits that will just drive you crazy(though if you pause the game, before popping the lid you can avoid the music looping). The 2D images and backgrounds have that “lines” thing going for it, but the 3D characters are flawless and look great.
Tomb Raider 3 - Runs way too fast(about twice the normal speed), has same graphical glitches as seen in Duke TTK.
(note: This is the demo that is on the disc in certain versions of Akuji the Heartless)
