It's Indiana Donald and the search for the Lost Treasure! This is a cute little adventure game starring Donald Duck as the tomb raider(of sorts). Sega programming and game concept with Disney characters adds up to pure platforming bliss.

What's it all about?
It's an adventure/shooter...kind of. Using Donald, you go from location to location in search of pieces of the map that'll lead you to the Lost Treasure. To defend himself, Donald has his trusty Plunger Gun that he can use to plug up enemies, and even climb walls with by vaulting off the stick-end. Along the way, you can acquire a few other weapons...but more importantly, you can also build up Donald's "Anger" meter. Once that thing is full, watch out! Donald will shoot forward in a quacking rage, taking out anyone in his way!

Graphics - Absolutely gorgeous! From the forest in Transylvania to the tomb in Mexico this game shines! Also, Donald and the enemies are well animated and most of the backgrounds are truly breathtaking.
Sound - The music is very good and adds to the mood of the location. It's kind of spooky in Transylvania, very ambient sounding in the tombs and lighthearted in Duckburg. Donald's anger fit is very amusing, and will have you rolling on the ground with all that quacking!
Control - Very smooth, Donald never "accidentally" falls off of platforms(Tomb Raider players will know what I mean) and he jumps and slides without delay.
AI - Fair, with a few rough parts.
Replay value - I'm still playing it! It's a platformer and eventually you’ll get tired of it but until that time comes...
Tips for better gaming experiences:
Jump constantly when the QuackAttack hits, you'll cover more ground this way. Other than that, about the only other tip would be knowing which order to hit the locations for less backtracking...but the game is so good you won't mind going back to a few places...

My rating: 95 - Platforming rarely gets this good, if you don't own it you should be ashamed of yourself.
EGM gave it: 8, 8, 6, 6(out of 10)
GamePro gave it: 5.0(graphics), 5.0(sound), 5.0(gameplay), 5.0(funfactor), 5.0(challenge)(out of 5)

Cat's meow:
A game with a duck as the main character? Give me a break! Anyway, I still enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who has a Genesis.

Quack Attack!

Plunger for you boy!

Did you know:
This is actually the second in a trilogy(or sorts). First there was Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse, then Quackshot starring Donald Duck followed by World of Illusion starring both characters together. The trilogy is available on disc, in Japan, for the Saturn. One last thing: I find it truly odd that other than ice cream, Donald will eat some sort of bird meat to regain energy...
